Transcribed by Margaret Read MacDonald This bible was purchased by the author at a farm sale in Jennings County, Indiana, in the late 1950s or early 1960s. Titled The Holy Bible containing the Old and New Testaments Translated out of the Original Tongues and with the former Translations Diligently Compared and Revised, the work was published by the American Bible Society in 1955. The bible was in poor condition and has since been lost. However, the handwritten family history it contained was recorded and is transcribed here Joseph Spaugh died March the 19th 1864
