John Henry Towler Dies in Mishap John H. Towler, age 72 R.F.D. 5 was found dead in his automobile today at 10:30am after his car was seen to have slid off Cross street, east of Madison avenue, and run through a fence into a field. Dr. Walter A. Laudeman, of Elwood, Madison county coroner, was called to determine the cause of death. Mr. Towler was enroute home from the business district when the accident occurred. The body was taken to the Harold E. Rozelle funeral home and will be taken to Adams, in Decatur County, Wednesday morning for services at the Adams Methodist Church Wednesday morning about 2 p.m. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery. Mr. Towler is survived by his widow, Mrs. Maggie C. Towler; five daughters, Mrs. Ethel Proctor, and Mrs. Mabel Bridgeford, both of Hamilton Oh.; Mrs. Lucy Lewis, of Westport; Mrs. Mary Raft, of Middletown, and Mrs. Clara Surface, of R.F.D. 5; a son Henry Towler, of Chicago; Twelve grandchildren; one brother, Elmer Towler, of Connersville, and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Connall, of Greensburg, and Mrs. Roscoe Bright, of St. Paul, Ind. Mr. Towler was born at Flemingsburg, Ky., but had spent most of his life in Decatur County Ind. He moved to a farm north of here seven years ago. He was a member of the odd Fellows Lodge at Adams.
